More Than a Fly Fishing Festival
Green Mountain Fly Fest is a celebration of fly fishing, outdoor recreation, and the wild places that bring us together.
Set in the heart of Vermont’s Green Mountains, the festival brings anglers, families, guides, conservationists, outdoor brands, artists, and storytellers together for a weekend built around learning, adventure, and connection.
Whether you’re picking up a fly rod for the first time or have spent decades chasing your favorite fish, there’s a place for you here.
Through hands-on fly fishing instruction, casting demonstrations, fly tying, conservation programs, outdoor experiences, live music, food, storytelling, and a gathering of passionate brands and people, Green Mountain Fly Fest celebrates the culture and community surrounding fly fishing and life outdoors.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple: introduce more people to fly fishing and outdoor recreation in order to inspire them to become stewards of the places they love.
We believe that the more time people spend outside, the more connected they become to the natural world. And that connection creates a desire to protect it.
Through education, access, community, and conservation, we hope to inspire a new generation of anglers and outdoor enthusiasts who understand that enjoying wild places comes with a responsibility to protect them.
Because conservation starts with connection.
We are committed to making fly fishing more accessible, supporting youth education, promoting responsible angling, and raising awareness for the health of our rivers, streams, forests, and wild places.
Because fly fishing is about more than catching fish.
It’s about the water.
The places we explore.
The people we meet.
And what we leave behind.
Get outside. Find your water. Discover something wild.
Then help protect it.
